With two decades of experience as communications and marketing leader, Katie is an award-winning executive who has successfully led communications and marketing across many global industries. She brings this expertise and experience to her role as a consultant and strategist for THE COLLECTIVE’s clients that span across nonprofit, Fortune 1000 and small to medium for-profit businesses.
With a proven track record as a coach, mentor, and C-Suite advisor, she specializes in working across highly-matrixed teams and influencing change across global organizations. She’s skilled in developing high-performing teams, driving innovative communication strategies, identifying, monitoring, and analyzing reputational issues and crisis communication, and executing successful brand and product commercialization for organizations of all sizes.
Katie is the recipient of awards from PR Week and Ragan Communications, in recognition of her contributions to communications and leadership excellence.
Beyond communications and marketing, she led, created and developed diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and curriculum for a Fortune 1000 global pharmaceutical company.
Katie earned her Master of Arts in Communication with high honors from Southern New Hampshire University and completed an Executive Education Certificate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management.
She resides in the Greater Boston area, but is a tried-and-true Chicagoan, having spent most of her life in the Second City. When not cheering for the Chicago Cubs or talking about how much she misses Chicago-style food, she spends her time serving her local community as a pastor and member of the Board of Directors for two foundations.
So much more than 'simply' a respected communications leader or trusted counsel, Katie was the architect of one of the best teams I have had the honor to be part of. We may have worked from different locations and come from different backgrounds, but she built foundations and nurtured connections that couldn't have been stronger if we'd been in the same room for years.
